Homecookedlove is no gourmet blog.

This was set up for my dearest sister who left home (and us) for the first time, for her polytechnic’s overseas attachment.

Bearing in mind that she will be ‘enjoying ‘ food in a country infamous for its saltyness (and err roasted scorpions), we hope that pictures of the food we prepare at home will keep her going (:

The blog owner’s boyfriend questioned, “Wouldn’t that make her miss home even more?”

I took a gamble and assured myself, “Nope, She’d rather be knowing what we’re having every other day.” True enough, this was confirmed when Er (as we call her) asked on her second day overseas, “What’s for dinner today?”

I may not be able to capture the stuff that goes into our stomach every single day, but I’ll do whatever I can for You. Most importantly, this blog seeks to celebrate the love and effort that goes into preparing meals  for our loved ones, no matter how simple the dishes may be.

And of course, not forgetting our love for food, heh (:
